Shortly after the accession of Bulgaria to the European Union, Varadinov&Co is proud to inform you that we represent a party entitled to European Enforcement Order and for the protection of the party’s interests we have initiated a procedure for the enforcement of the Order in Bulgaria.
According to the engagements stemming from the accession to the European Union, the Parliament of Bulgaria has currently adopted new Civil Procedure Code that has been published in the State Official Gazette Nr 59 on the 20th of July, 2007 and shall enter into force on the 1st of March, 2008. Its Part 7 involving the procedure rules related to the international civil litigation in the scope of operation of the EU Law shall enter into force from the 24th of July, 2007. A member of Varadinov&Co – Mr. Petar Bonchovski, participated as an expert in the committee \where he was the sole attorney-at-law\ to the Parliament that prepared the final draft of the Code, and which worked on constant sessions for more than a year.

Natural persons and legal entities from the European Union will be able to fulfill radio- and television activity under the same conditions as the Bulgarians. This is envisaged in the amendments in the Radio and Television Act passed by the National Assembly.
After 12.01.2007 each of the new member states of the European Union Bulgaria and Romania will have one judge in the Court of First Instance and one judge in the Court of Justice. The new magistrates will take oath during official ceremony in the headquarters of the Court of Justice of the European communities in Luxemburg. After this date the composition of the Court of Justice of the European Communities will include the Bulgarian judge Alexander Arabadjiev and his Romanian colleague Kamelia Toader. The Bulgarian Teodor Chipev shall be a judge in the Court of First Instance together with the Romanian Valeriu Chuka.
During the sitting on 15th of December 2006 the National Assembly adopted on first reading two projects for the elections of Bulgarian representatives in the European Parliament. The projects are consistent with the Accession Treaty of Bulgaria according to which direct general elections for European parliament shall be made before 31st of December 2007.
